Kohl’s is a department store whose headquarters are in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kohl’s Corporation has over 1,000 stores, spread out in each of the 50 states with the exception of Hawaii. When Maxwell Kohl first created Kohl‘s in 1946, it was a Kohl’s Food Store. It was not until 1962 that he created the first Kohl’s department store, similar to what we know it as today. Kohl’s is not a discount store nor is it a high end department store that only the upper class can afford. They sell just about everything imaginable, from candy to kitchen goods or camping gear.

What to Expect When Interviewing

Lots of candidates that interview for a position at Kohl's report a positive interview experience. Potential workers can look forward to a reasonably easy interviewing procedure composed of a face to face or group interview with a store executive in which standard interview questions are posed. An example might include a query like, "How do you know when a shopper is satisfied?" Management positions could be needed to take a personality test, get asked to submit to a drug test and take part in a group interview. Potential workers can apply on the Internet or in person, and telephone interviews are infrequently conducted.
